 It's time friends!! Time for my favorite post of the year! Today I am sharing my favorite books of 2022. 

I read 47 books in 2022 and have narrowed down my top 5 for you.

Before I get to my favorite books of 2022, I want to start with a few Honorable Mentions. These books are not in my top 5 but are still 5 star reads all the same. I highly recommend each one.

People We Meet on Vacation by: Emily Henry

It took me far too long to get on the Emily Henry bandwagon. One of her other books made it to my top 5 of the year, but I couldn't leave this one out. I freakin' loved reading this book and the emotional rollercoaster it took me on!!!

November 9 by: Colleen Hoover

I still sometimes think about this book!! I loved the concept of the storyline and adored the characters. There was one tiny detail about the conflict that I didn't love but otherwise, it would have been a top favorite of the year. I still recommend this one!!

Rock Paper Scissors by: Alice Feeney

Not a single thriller was on my top 5 this year, but this one was super close!!! This is the only thriller I read this year that I can still remember details about and think of every so often. I read it in February and still sometimes think about how crazy it is. Highly recommend!!

Coming in at #5: 

The Love of my Life by: Rosie Walsh

This book completely shocked me and I think it is best to go into it blind. This book is part thriller, part romance, part contemporary fiction and 100% AMAZING!! The plot twist in this book is so good and the storyline is very creative and unlike anything else I've read. I highly recommend this one!!!

#4: Beach Read by: Emily Henry

This year I finally got on board with Emily Henry and I am so glad I did. I read all three of her most popular books and this one was my favorite. I LOVED the personality of these characters and may have shed a tear (not sure that is a common reaction though?). I just love this story so much!!!

#3: Brain on Fire by: Susannah Cahalan

I sat down to read a chapter or two of this true story and ended up staying awake until 2 a.m. to finish. This true story about a healthy young woman getting an undiagnosed medical condition which ultimately caused her to go mad for a period of time was so intriguing and I couldn't put it down. I had to know how she turned out and what the solution was. THIS ONE IS CRAZY!!!!!

#2: Nora Goes off Script by: Annabel Monaghan

This book is one of those fast paces romance books that is the perfect story to recommend to every girlfriend. I flew through this story and loved every second of it. I can't wait for this authors next book coming out soon. The writing was so great, the romance was top notch, and the conflict in the story will have you on the edge of your seat!! L.O.V.E.D this one!!!!

Favorite book of 2022...

The Rose Code by: Kate Quinn!!!

I was not in a historical fiction mood this year, but find it funny that the one historical fiction I read is my absolute favorite of the whole year. I called it the minute I finished the last page. I have never read a historical fiction book quite like this one. I felt like I was among the women working in Bletchley Park during WWII. The three intertwining storylines, the timely romances, and the family and work dynamics made this such a complex and engaging book. It isn't a quick read that you'll sit down and finish in one sitting, but it leaves such an impact and taught me so much!!! LOVED THIS ONE!!!

Well there you have some honorable mentions and my top 5 favorite books of 2022. This was a great year of reading and I can't wait to read some excellent books in 2023.
