Happy Christmas week friends! It is time for my favorite blog post of the year!!! This year has been a busy one and I haven't done quite as much reading as I hoped to do, but I am still super excited to share my favorite reads of the year with you.
If you want to see my thoughts on every book I've read this year, you can see my monthly recaps below:

If you're interested in seeing my favorite books from past years as well, here they are for you:
Before I get into my top 5 books of 2021, I wanted to do an Honorable Mention.
This book did not make the top five but is still a five star book that I really loved!
The Last Bookshop in London by: Madeline Martin
This book had everything I love. A cozy bookshop, historical World War 2 time period, sweet romance, SWOON! I really enjoyed this one and think you will to! You can read more of my thoughts in my September-November Reading Recap.
OKAY! Now is the time for my TOP 5 BOOKS OF 2021!!!!
#5: Dial A for Aunties by: Jesse Q. Sutanto
Rarely does a book make me laugh out loud, but this one had me giggling multiple times. This is such a lighthearted and quirky book that will have you laughing. I so badly want this one to be a movie!
#4: Swear on this Life by: Renee Carlino
SWOON WORTHY!! This is a steamy romance book that follows two adults reconnecting by accident after years apart. They shared a traumatic childhood together and have to deal with their past before dreaming about a future. This book is just so sweet and good and I couldn't put it down! You will love it!
#3: Running for My Life by: Lopez Lomong, Mark A. Tabb
#2: The Night Swim by: Megan Goldin
This is one of those thrillers that you can't put down! Any book that intertwines a podcast element already has my attention. This one will have you second guessing until the end.
#1: An Unwanted Guest by: Shari Lapena
This one had my SHOOK!!! The ending was SO unexpected and all the twists throughout the book kept me on the edge of my seat. Easily my favorite book I read this year!! Loved it!!!
