3 Fall and Halloween Treats!

Happy Monday y'all. My sister and I have been on a baking kick lately. If you didn't see my Rolo Snacks from last week you definitely should. An easy staple in my house hold. Today I am sharing three more recipes that are perfect for any Fall or Halloween festivities.

The first two were demonstrated in my sisters video she posted today so make sure to watch so you can understand a bit better :)

First up, Candy Corn Rice Krispies! This is super easy and SO cute! You can PRINT the recipe here.

Ingredients:
For the yellow layer
2 1/4 cup rice krispies cereal
1 3/4 cup mini marshmallows
2 tsp unsalted butter
12 drops yellow food coloring

For the orange layer
1 1/4 cup rice krispies cereal
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 1/2 tsp unsalted butter
10 drops of yellow food coloring
3 drops of red food coloring

For the white layer
1 cup rice krispies cereal
1 tsp unsalted butter
3/4 cup mini marshmallows

Directions:
Coat an 8" round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
For the yellow layer: In a medium pot, melt the butter over low heat and then add your marshmallows. Stir in the food coloring and then pour over your rice krispies. Stir and coat evenly.
Pour the mixture into your sprayed pan and using your hands, mold the yellow mixture around the edge of the bowl.
Complete these steps with the orange and white layer as well.
Cool the Rice Krispies completely. When you are ready to serve, slice your rice krispies like you would a pizza or a pie so that each slice looks like a candy corn.
Enjoy!

Next up, Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate. UMMMM YEAH. You can PRINT the recipe here.

Ingredients:
1 Cup heavy cream
2 Cups of milk
1 Cup of Ghiradelli white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
Whipped cream and any additional toppings you wish to use

Directions:
Heat cream and milk in a pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Do not bring to a boil.
In a medium sized bowl, pour heated cream and milk over white chocolate chips. Stir until melted.
Add vanilla and pumpkin and stir.
Pour in a glass and serve with whipped cream, additional pumpkin spice, and whatever other toppings you wish.

And lastly, my Chocolate Dirt Cake. AH <3 I took a chocolate twist on my Easter No Bake Dirt Cake and my oh my was it good. You can really take this dessert and make it festive for any occasion. I think popping a few pumpkin candies on top with a few ghost peeps to make it look like a graveyard would be the cutest touch for your Halloween party. You can PRINT the recipe here.

Ingredients:
2 packages of  Oreos (I used the gluten free chocolate Oreos)
1 8 oz. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese (softened)
½ cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 large container cool whip (16 ounces)
2 boxes INSTANT chocolate pudding
3 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Peeps or any seasonal decorations you wish to use

Directions:
Crush the first package of gluten free Oreos and press a long the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
With a standing mixer with a paddle attachment mix the cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar. Then add in the cool whip.
In a separate bowl, mix yourself the pudding mix, milk, and vanilla.
Add the two mixtures together in a bowl and mix well.
Pour the combined mixture over the pan.
Crush the second package of Oreos and spread on top.
Once this is done add the Easter decorations to the top of the cake and let chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Keep in the refrigerator when not enjoying.

Hope y'all enjoy the rest of your Monday! I will talk to you very soon!

Watermelon Rice Krispy Treats + Party Decor

Happy Monday everyone! I can't believe that the 4th of July has already passed. It is seriously one of my favorite holidays and I am always so sad when it's over.
For the 4th this past year, we had quite a festive couple days, and ended the 4th with a watermelon themed grill out with a dessert by yours truly. I love finding cute new themes for simple parties with family and loved this summer theme.

Peanut Butter, Butter Scotch, Chocolate Rice Krispies (Gluten Free) | Sweet Saturday!

This is one of the best family recipes my family has! You all should feel very honored that I am sharing this INCREDIBLE recipe with you. These desserts are truly the best things I have ever tried and they have a super easy clean up which is always a bonus! No mixing, baking, and not too many pans! Well let me just go ahead and get on with it and tell y'all how to make them!

Ingredients:
- A bag of butterscotch chips
- 1 cup of peanut butter
- 8 cups of rice krispies cereal
- 2 tablespoons of water
- A bag of chocolate chips
- 1 cup of confectioners sugar
- Half a stick of butter

Directions:
- Melt butterscotch and peanut butter in a large pan until well blended.
-Remove from heat, and then mix in rice krispies cereal.
-Pour half of the mixture into an 11' by 13' pan
- Put the pan in the refrigerator to chill
- In another pan combine water, chocolate chips, sugar, and butter.
-Have this mixture on low heat, you don't want to burn the chocolate. You may also want to add a tad bit more water as you go along if needed.
-Pour the chocolate mixture over the pan with the rice krispies mixture evenly.
-Pour the rest of the krispies mixture over the top of the pan evenly and put it in the fridge.

Then you are done! Pull out, slice, and enjoy! (I don't doubt that you will love these!)

4th of July Rice Krispies

Happy Wednesday! I am so happy to be in my bed right now! I was up for a solid 20 hours yesterday! I woke up at 5:30 to go to work and then had a bible study and then a late night work party! It was such a fun day but I am happy to have little planned today. That is definitely the homebody speaking. :)
I went today to my college orientation and I am so happy with the classes I am taking in the Fall and my schedule. I am sad that summer is coming to an end but I am SO excited to start chasing my dream of becoming a teacher!

Today I am sharing a cute and simple recipe for your 4th of July festivities. Rice Krispies are always my favorite dessert and you can mix in different candies or top with different frosting's to make them perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients:
3 tbsp butter
1 package (10 oz,) mini marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies cereal

For the Frosting:
3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 to 2 tablespoons of milk
food coloring of choice

Directions:
In a large pot on low heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Move the pot off of the heat and then stir in the cereal. Press into a pan and let cool.

For the Frosting:
In a standing electric mixer, beat the softened butter on low speed for 1-2 minutes. Slowly add the powdered sugar and then the vanilla extract. Stir to combine. Add in 1 tablespoon of milk and stir to combine. If the frosting needs to be thinner slowly add more milk. Separate into separate bowls to dye with food coloring of choice. Frost cooled rice krispies and enjoy!

There you go! Easy peasy! I hope you can recreate this treat and send my pictures!

Have a great rest of your week! Talk to you soon!

Easter Rice Krispies- Sweet Saturday

Hello everyone and Happy Sweet Saturday! Are we all excited for Easter coming up next Sunday? I sure am, and I am also excited for my 16th birthday the day after Easter. I am also going to start something new here on Juliana Grace Blog Space tomorrow with a series called 'Nailed It'. I bet you can guess it, but it is going to be a post that I do near the end of ever month showing you my manicures and pedicures from the whole entire month. I am very excited to show you what all my nails have been rocking this month so keep an eye out tomorrow for the first of those posts. What are y'all up to this weekend? Well if you are looking for something to bake, try these out! They are super yummy and cute for Easter too. Not to mention, they take no time to make and are easy on the stomach which is something I have to always keep in mind. I hope you enjoy them!

Prep Time: 5 Minutes

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
5 cups marshmallows
Pink Food Coloring
6 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal
1 1/2 cups Easter M&Ms
Easter Sprinkles

Directions:
In a large microwavable bowl, melt your butter. Once it is completely melted, add in your marshmallows and stir to coat with the butter. Microwave another minute or two until your marshmallows are melted. (PS. Don't you love the smell of melted marshmallows? It remind me of a camp fire!) Immediately after they are melted and you take the bowl out of the microwave, stir in 2-3 drops of pink food coloring. Pink works better than red. You could also use green, blue, or violet. Once you have incorporated all of that together, pour the mixture over the cereal in an even larger bowl. You want to have a large bowl because it makes it so much easier to mix. Add in your M&Ms and Easter Sprinkles to the mixture. Pour into a greased 8x8 pan and let it sit out to cool for around 20 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

Let me know if you do decide to give this recipe a try. I love rice krispies and how easy of a treat they are to make. The good thing about these is that you could always do them with different colors year round. You could even do Christmas colors! Comment below, or email me any thoughts or questions. Bon Appetite.

Cake Batter Rice Crispy Cake- Sweet Saturday!

Happy Sweet Saturday everybody! I have to say this is one of my favorite recipes I have ever made EVER! It was quick, gorgeous, and delicious. Everyone in my family went back for seconds. Rice crispy treats are a dessert that I love because it isn't ever super rich or heavy but rather sweet and light and filled with sugar none the less ;) You can frost this however you like. If you want to pour the rice crispy "batter" into two separate pans and then put frosting in between each layer, go for it. I just decided to color mine pink (duh!) and top with a few pearl sprinkles.

Ingredients
Rice Crispy Cake:
5 Tablespoons salted butter
1 10-ounce bag of marshmallows
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
5 cups rice cereal
1/2 cup dry white or yellow cake mix (I use Betty Crocker Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix)
1 10-ounce bag mini marshmallows

Buttercream:
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
4 ounces cream cheese
4 cups confectioners' sugar
A splash of milk
Which ever food coloring or sprinkles your little heart desires :)

Directions
Rice Crispy Cake:
Grease your standard cake pan or two small cake pans
Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat
Once butter is completely melted, add 10-ounce bag of larger marshmallows, salt, and vanilla extract and stir until marshmallows are mostly melted
Remove from heat
Add dry cake mix and rice cereal, folding continuously until the cereal is completely coated with the marshmallow mixture
Stir in mini marshmallows as evenly as possible
Press evenly into greased cake pan(s) and let sit for at least 15 minutes

Buttercream:
Add butter and cream cheese to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until smooth
Add confectioners' sugar one cup at a time
Add vanilla extract, a splash of milk, and food coloring and mix until fully blended
You can now remove your rice crispy cake from the pan(s) and frost however you would like!

Patriotic Rice Krispies

Happy Sunday my loves! Since Flag Day is this Tuesday, I thought I would whip out a little patriotic treat that is easy to do last minute:

RICE KRISPY TREATS! I have a slight obsession with Rice Krispy Treats. I love changing one or two parts of this simple recipe to make it fit each holiday.

Not to mention it is another reason to run to Michaels for holiday decorations right?? ;)
If you aren't a sweet lover than this isn't for you because it is pretty sweet and rich. I always use this recipe for the Rice Krispy Treats. I ended up using patriotic Rice Krispies cereal this time however and then dipped them in red, white, and blue candy melts. Super easy!

You may also like my other Rice Krispy recipes too ;) Click on the pictures to follow the recipe!

My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims from the shooting here in Orlando early this morning. It is easy to hashtag "pray for Orlando", but it's better to actually pray.

Talk to y'all very soon!

Fall Rice Krispies ~Sweet Saturday~

Happy Sweet Saturday! How cute are these fall Rice Krispy treats? I had plans of walking around downtown today, sipping a hot chocolate, and wearing riding boots. My day however, was spent walking around the farmers market, in short sleeves, a skirt, and sweat literally dripping down my back. This is usually the one month that I hate Florida. I promise there will be some Fall Fashion posts soon, but since the high tomorrow is 90 degrees, it might be a while before you see me layering sweaters :)

These Rice Krispy Treats are NOT pumpkin flavored. They are just normal rice Krispy's decorated like pumpkins. Perfect for anyone during this season. Enjoy them!

Ingredients:
6 cups Rice Krispy Cereal
3 Tbs Butter
10 oz Marshmallows (approx. 1 bag)
Red and Yellow Food coloring
Miniature tootsie rolls
1 Green Fruit-Roll up (or in my case little green gummies... anything works)

Directions:
Melt your butter in a large sauce pan over low heat
Add marshmallows and stir constantly until melted
Remove from heat
Add about 6 drops of red food coloring and 4 drops of yellow food coloring to make orange
Mix in Rice Krispy cereal
Form small balls into the shape of a pumpkin (TIP: Spray your hands with Non-Stick butter spray or PAM so the treats don't stick to your hands)
Stick each tootsie roll into the top of the treat
Cut small leaves out of the green tootsie roll or flatten green gummies
ENJOY!!

Happy Monday y'all. Boy was my weekend PACKED! I was somehow talked into going to a late movie on Friday the 13th and y'all it was actually really good. The movie is called 'Happy Death Day' and you should go see it :)
I then woke up at 5am the next morning to catch the sunrise at Cocoa Beach with a friend and it was stunning!
Needless to say I was desperate for a relaxing Sunday after church at home to catch up on my baking and my homework piling up. It is no secret that I love all things Rice Krispie treats. They are my favorite. They are gluten free. They taste like heaven. They aren't too rich. They taste like heaven. The End.

Enjoy this festive, and easy recipe y'all!

Ingredients:
6 C crispy rice cereal
6 C mini marshmallows
5 Tbsp. butter
orange gel food coloring
dark chocolate candy coating
white chocolate candy coating

Directions:
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and add the food coloring until you have reached the desired color.
Stir in the cereal until fully coated.
Press into a 11" x 13" baking dish and let set for several minutes at least.
Once the treats have set, cut into triangles and *melt the melting chocolates as direction on the packaging.
Dip the top of the triangle in the dark chocolate and the tip in the white chocolate. Place on wax paper to harden.
Once the chocolate has set, store the treats at room temperature in an airtight container up to three days.
