Pumpkin Picking!

Happy Hump Day!! I had to just share some pictures from me and my sisters time at the pumpkin patch on Saturday. It finally got a little cool here in Central Florida (down in the low 70's). I was practically jumping for joy. Nothing makes this girl happier than being able to wear a flannel and booties without dying and sweating! My sister and I got there right when it opened before a ton of kids showed up and got some great pictures. We later walked around eating fall snacks and people watching. We finished our little excursion by rolling down the windows and blaring some country music on the drive home. It was such a good morning.

Life isn't always what it seems though from social media y'all... The rest of the day went down hill as I was stuck on the couch with a bad stomach ache and my sister had a mental breakdown after being taught how to drive on a really busy road for the first time. We were a bit of a mess. But Alabama beat Texas A&M so we went to sleep happy that night :)

I hope y'all have a great rest of  your week! I will talk to you very soon!

3 Fall and Halloween Treats!

Happy Monday y'all. My sister and I have been on a baking kick lately. If you didn't see my Rolo Snacks from last week you definitely should. An easy staple in my house hold. Today I am sharing three more recipes that are perfect for any Fall or Halloween festivities.

The first two were demonstrated in my sisters video she posted today so make sure to watch so you can understand a bit better :)

First up, Candy Corn Rice Krispies! This is super easy and SO cute! You can PRINT the recipe here.

Ingredients:
For the yellow layer
2 1/4 cup rice krispies cereal
1 3/4 cup mini marshmallows
2 tsp unsalted butter
12 drops yellow food coloring

For the orange layer
1 1/4 cup rice krispies cereal
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 1/2 tsp unsalted butter
10 drops of yellow food coloring
3 drops of red food coloring

For the white layer
1 cup rice krispies cereal
1 tsp unsalted butter
3/4 cup mini marshmallows

Directions:
Coat an 8" round cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.
For the yellow layer: In a medium pot, melt the butter over low heat and then add your marshmallows. Stir in the food coloring and then pour over your rice krispies. Stir and coat evenly.
Pour the mixture into your sprayed pan and using your hands, mold the yellow mixture around the edge of the bowl.
Complete these steps with the orange and white layer as well.
Cool the Rice Krispies completely. When you are ready to serve, slice your rice krispies like you would a pizza or a pie so that each slice looks like a candy corn.
Enjoy!

Next up, Pumpkin Spice White Hot Chocolate. UMMMM YEAH. You can PRINT the recipe here.

Ingredients:
1 Cup heavy cream
2 Cups of milk
1 Cup of Ghiradelli white chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin spice
Whipped cream and any additional toppings you wish to use

Directions:
Heat cream and milk in a pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Do not bring to a boil.
In a medium sized bowl, pour heated cream and milk over white chocolate chips. Stir until melted.
Add vanilla and pumpkin and stir.
Pour in a glass and serve with whipped cream, additional pumpkin spice, and whatever other toppings you wish.

And lastly, my Chocolate Dirt Cake. AH <3 I took a chocolate twist on my Easter No Bake Dirt Cake and my oh my was it good. You can really take this dessert and make it festive for any occasion. I think popping a few pumpkin candies on top with a few ghost peeps to make it look like a graveyard would be the cutest touch for your Halloween party. You can PRINT the recipe here.

Ingredients:
2 packages of  Oreos (I used the gluten free chocolate Oreos)
1 8 oz. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese (softened)
½ cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 large container cool whip (16 ounces)
2 boxes INSTANT chocolate pudding
3 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Peeps or any seasonal decorations you wish to use

Directions:
Crush the first package of gluten free Oreos and press a long the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
With a standing mixer with a paddle attachment mix the cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar. Then add in the cool whip.
In a separate bowl, mix yourself the pudding mix, milk, and vanilla.
Add the two mixtures together in a bowl and mix well.
Pour the combined mixture over the pan.
Crush the second package of Oreos and spread on top.
Once this is done add the Easter decorations to the top of the cake and let chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Keep in the refrigerator when not enjoying.

Hope y'all enjoy the rest of your Monday! I will talk to you very soon!

Easy & Delicious Rolo Treat

Hey y'all! Today I am sharing one of my all time favorite treats EVER! One of our sweet neighbors brought us this during the holiday season a year or so back and got my family hooked. I couldn't believe I had never shared this easy recipe with you.

Ingredients:
Pretzels (can easily be made gluten free with gluten free pretzels)
Rolo Candies
M&M'S

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 F.
Place the pretzels flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place unwrapped Rolo's on top.
Place in the oven for about 3-5 minutes or until Rolo's have softened.
Place a single M&M on top of each one.
Let sit for a few minutes before eating.

So easy right? The perfect combination of sweet and salty along with crunchy and melted. BOMB.COM

I hope y'all have a great rest of your week. I have been stuck in bed today with a bad head cold but hope to be more with it tomorrow :) See ya real soon!

Spontaneous Miscellaneous

Hey y'all and happy Friday! Today has already been such a fun start to a busy and exciting weekend. After a little manicure and shopping with my Momma, I am back to catching up on school before going to a Orlando Magic [basketball] game tonight! Follow along on my Instagram story y'all :)

Now onto some things that have been on my radar this week!

Well it sure isn't no surprise to y'all that I love a big ole' monogram. But The Funkie Feather carries DISNEY INSPIRED monogram decals for SO cheap! You're welcome. I mean I am 17 years old and love them, but I think they are SUPER cute for little kids as well.
Speaking of monograms... This cup is the bees knees. It is cute, keeps my water cold for hours, and seals tight so I can throw it in my purse. I don't ever have to worry about it spilling anywhere. So cute! Add a cute monogram decal and you're set.

It may be hard to believe for some of you but I had never seen this movie until recently. It is now one of my favorites! SO good!

I hope a good bunch of y'all saw this past weeks episode of Counting On because Jinger got engaged. It was so precious. Jeremy planned such a beautiful scene to pop the question!
PS FUTURE HUSBAND: I really don't need a fancy engagement. Just a trip to New York City, a rooftop dinner, and a diamond ring. Oh and if you could also orchestrate a beautiful sunset and rainbow in the sky too so the pictures turn out good, that would be fantastic. But again, simple.

Well that is all for today folks! I hope you enjoy your weekend! See you soon :)

Monogram Vest & Cute Coffee

Happy Monday and happy First-Day-Of-Feeling-Relatively-Like-Fall to all of you also in the Central Florida area!! I couldn't help but picking up some leaves (actually just dirt and branches from the hurricane) and throwing them in celebration.

This post may just contain all of my favorite things. A cute monogram vest, duck boots, and a coffee cozy. You need all of these ;)

Have a great start to your week! Talk to you soon!

Spontaneous Miscellaneous

Hey y'all! I am so confused on what day it is. As you may know, central Florida schools have been shut down for the last two days because of Hurricane Mathew. He made his way through Florida early this morning. I didn't get much sleep but that wasn't due to the fact of gusting winds and the possibility of natural disaster hanging over my head. No. It was due to a frog right outside my window ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Okay that may be an exaggeration but that stupid thing wouldn't SHUT UP! Y'all know that my biggest fears are snakes and frogs so in the midst of many Floridians loosing power, and experiencing complete chaos, I am having nightmares about frogs. Well.

Despite the whole reptile situation, I am feeling very blessed this morning. So many went without power, and many in Haiti have lost everything including the lives of family, friends and neighbors. Spend some time praying today y'all.

Now let's chat about some recent FAVS!

Oh my word this Author. This crazy lady just gets me. I understand that she is in her forty's and has kids my age but we could still easily be best friends. She has a southern humor and some of the funniest stories. This book is a total gem. Sophie Hudson talks about three examples in the bible where women were being mentored or being the mentors. She talked about the importance of cross-generational friendships and how important it is for women to have strong christian relationships with one another. This was very convicting, and very entertaining as well. Love this lady! Y'all need to read this book!

Meredith's Homecoming Hair & Makeup
I just have to take a second and tell y'all that my sister is a BEAUT! Her homecoming dance was last week and she looked stunning. Her and my mom went to pick out the dress, jewelry, and shoes (LOVED IT ALL) and I did her hair and makeup. Ain't she cute??

Hunter Rainboots for Girls
Many of you may follow Carly's blog (if you don't I am giving you an opportunity to redeem yourself and go follow her because you need to. You're welcome.) Y'all may not know however, that she has a YouTube channel where she does vlogs almost every day. As much as I love reading peoples blogs and scrolling through their pictures on Instagram, you start to really feel like you know them once you see a bit into their every day life. Carly is so fun to watch on all of her adventures.

Alrighty that's all for you today folks! I am going to get back in bed now and wait out the storm. Would say I will then help my dad pick up all the debris in the road and pool but after hearing that frog all night, I think I will stay inside for the day ;)

Talk to y'all soon! Have a great weekend!

The Fall Staples!

Hey y'all! Florida has some of the weirdest weather right now. Many of you may know that we are all getting prepared for Hurricane Mathew to make his arrival so everyone is in complete chaos. However, the weather has been as hot and sunny as summer. I was sweatin' in my boots y'all. We have lot's of ice and water though so we should hopefully be okay.

Today I am sharing some fall must-haves!! Like y'all need these. You can basically take a solid color sweater, jeans, and a blanket scarf and mix and match to make a dozen different outfits. This is definitely a fall go-to. I linked similar items to mine that are all fairly good prices (see below the last picture). You will definitely be seeing some more sweaters and scarfs from me soon, assuming I don't have a heat stroke first :)

Y'all enjoy your hump day! I am going to go hunker-down for this hurricane and read a good book. Talk to you soon!
