4 Ways To Get The Most Out Of Your Home!

Happy Wednesday friends! As life changes come along and I begin to look for apartments to live on my own, I realize how important it is to fully embrace the space you're in. Having a home that is your happy place and safes pace is so important.

I have compiled a short list of 4 things I've learned from my Momma about how to get the most out of your home.

 Make It Your Own

Your space is yours so it’s always important to make it your own. I personally love that my home is in white and neutral colors. Of course in my own place I plan to incorporate a lot of colors, but still having a neutral base is important to me. If you however like something completely different, do what you like.

Just because it’s not your friends or families personal tastes, doesn’t mean that you can’t have what you want in the space you live in.

Switch It Up Every So Often

Sometimes, it’s good to have a refresh of the current situation. With that being said, why not switch it up every so often by giving a room a revamp with some new pillows and easy accents. You may want to change the style you were originally going for and completely change direction. It’s always good to change with how you’re feeling when it comes to your home. Again, it’s a creative process to enjoy, so enjoy it!

Keep a Calendar for Maintenance

My mom is a stickler for her calendar. We keep one on the fridge that keeps EVERYTHING written on it. I don't know how anyone functions without one. So whether it’s getting a plumber out to do RootX Treatment or having your exterior gutters cleaned, it's always helpful to have it on the calendar.

Change The Layout

It sounds really simple but have you ever tried to rearrange the furniture in a room? The difference it can make to the space is truly something else and the best part about it is that it’s free to do. You won’t need to buy anything unless you rearrange the space and find you want to add something in.

Start room by room and look at how it’s currently laid out. When you first move in, you would have just likely dumped the furniture in a place you thought was most suitable. However, there might be other options available that not only transform the space but make it more functional too!

Getting more out of your living space is important so use these tips to help boost your enjoyment of the home going forward this year. I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week. Chat soon.
