No matter how confidently you present yourself to others, everyone needs a self-esteem boost, and dressing up and looking the part can immediately boost your confidence and make you feel good about yourself. No one wants to go out feeling like they are not good enough, and if you get a lot of your confidence from what you wear, you should easily understand why there is nothing at all wrong with overdressing no matter the occasion. 

If You’ve Got It, Why Not Flaunt It? 
No one buys clothes just to have them sit in the closet wishing to be worn. So, whether you’ve bought a beautiful pair of shoes or splashed out on a luxury evening gown, why shouldn’t you wear them when you get the chance? From company events to parties, or just for catching up with friends in your favorite restaurant, you shouldn’t feel self-conscious about dressing up. Of course, some situations are different. Overdressing for events shows that you care enough about looking good that you were willing to wear your best clothes, rather than feel like you can get away with lazy, everyday clothes.
