My Favorite Devotionals

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you are having a great start to the week. My summer classes started today and although I could have used at least one or two more weeks of summer break, I am excited for what's to come. I love the classes I'm taking this summer and do love having a more routine schedule. I will still find time to lay by the pool though, don't you worry.
With my day's now being more busy, I am having to really find time to have a daily devotion and quiet time with God. This is so important and I'm not perfect at it, but try my hardest day by day.

If you haven't read this blog post, where I discuss what a daily devotion is and how I have one, you should read it here. Today, I am sharing devotional books that I love!

I was so excited to receive this book and am loving it so far. I haven't finished it yet, but it is really challenging me. This year long devotion book is all about the apologetics of your faith and is great to nail down what you believe and the truth of the bible. This isn't an easy one to skim and takes focus to understand, but recommend it if you want a challenge. You can enter to win a copy here!

Jesus Christ alone answers our deepest questions.

We all have doubts that challenge our faith. We wonder whether the Bible still matters, or whether God is truly as loving and personal as we hope. In his first ever devotional, The Logic of God, apologist Ravi Zacharias offers 52 readings that explain how and why Christianity, the Bible, and God are still relevant, vital, and life-changing for us today. To all our dilemmas Ravi says, "I am convinced that Jesus Christ alone uniquely answers the deepest questions of our hearts and minds."

With a remarkable grasp of biblical facts and a deep understanding of the questions that trouble our hearts, Ravi tackles the most difficult topics with ease and understanding. But The Logic of God is more than intellectual; it is also personal, offering thoughtful wisdom on:

when Jesus draws especially near you.

the deep ray of hope found in God's Word.

how God transforms disappointments.

why prayer matters.

how genuine peace is possible.

making sense of suffering.

Ravi makes profound biblical truth easy to understand. And if your life is busy, this book is designed for you! It addresses 52 topics that you can read over the course of one year or slowly digest at your own pace. Each entry includes a Scripture, questions for reflection, and some practical application steps.

When you're struggling with questions and doubts, confused, curious, or just want a clearer way to express your faith The Logic of God has answers that satisfy the heart and the mind.

I love this book and it isn't too long or difficult to read. This book however will challenge your relationship with Christ and how urgent you are in sharing your faith. This book will encourage you to be a true follower and not just a fan.

Ladies, this is SUCH a good book. It isn't cheesy at all but instead is insightful and powerful. Praying for your future spouse and life partner is so important and this book gave me such a peace about what the future holds. Love this one!

I am almost finished with this one and it has been a favorite. The concept of the Holy Hustle book is to help you find that work hard rest well balance. This talks about the importance of doing good where God has called you to work in this moment of life and finding rest in Him. I think everyone struggles with one of these and could benefit from this book.

There you have it! What devotional books do you like and recommend?
I will talk to you soon!
