Spontaneous Miscellaneous

Hello everyone and happy Friday. I can't believe that we are one week away from Christmas!!! How is that already possible? I am so ready to celebrate.

Today, we are going to talk all about some of my random favorites from the past week or so. I have some great shows, movies, fashion finds, and more to share with you so get a warm drink and make yourself comfortable friends.

One // Safety on Disney +

This movie on Disney Plus is based on the true story of Ray McElrathbey, a Clemson football safety who assumed custody of his 11-year old brother when his mom has to enter drug rehab. I loved this story and seeing how the different people in his life, teammates, coaches, and friends, reacted to his situation. I did shed a few tears, so if you get weepy during heartwarming stories, grab some tissues. Watch the trailer here.

Two // Bourbon & Bowties

My mom has loved this brand of bangle bracelets for a while and I finally decided to stop borrowing hers and purchase some of my own. I LOVE THEM! They are big and make a statement. There are a ton of colors and sizes. My mom prefers to only wear one or two at a time because she likes more dainty jewelry. I prefer to wear as many as will fit on my wrist, ha, so it clearly works for any style. I would also like to note that for the price, these are extremely great quality. My mom's gold plated bangles, haven't turned at all and she's had them for over a year. That's pretty amazing for a $25 bracelet.

Here are some of my favorites:

Three // The Real Right Stuff on Disney +

If you read my blog post about all of my favorite space things (here), than you know that one of my favorite shows of the year has been The Right Stuff which came out on Disney Plus. I am still depressed about it being over (even though there is going to be a second season, YAY), but I loved watching the documentary style film The Real Right Stuff that Disney Plus put out. I loved seeing the real astronauts and their journey with NASA and space exploration. I could nerd out about it all day long. You can watch the trailer here.

Four // Women of the Bible by: Ann Sprangler & Jean E. Syswerda

This book is seriously phenomenal. This is a one year book study on the women in the bible in chronological order. You spend one week on each woman and each page is a joy to read. I have never loved an authors writing more in a devotional book and I learn so much each week. The women I have learned about so far are really challenging me daily. My mom, sister, and I have been getting together each Friday afternoon to discuss our thoughts and what we learned. I have loved having them to keep me accountable. I have said it before, and I'll say it again, having a daily devotion will change your life. If you need a good place to start, order this book here.

Five // Teacher Tees

I love having fun tees to wear to work and I love these that I found on Etsy!

Six // Squishmallows

(Not my image)

Okay this may be one of the most random things I have ever shared, but bare with me friends. Have you heard of Squishmallows? They are these stuffed animals if you will, that are listed in plenty of magazines as one of the top toys this year. My mom (kind of as a joke) got my sister and I one at Costco one day because she said they were so soft, and we are obsessed!!! These are seriously the softest and squishiest things I have ever seen. I keep this thing on my bed now and squeeze it all the time. I think I am going to need some for my classroom because I swear they release stress and anger. You should get one.. or ten.. I won't judge. They can be found at Walgreens, Costco, CVS, Target, Walmart, and more!

Seven // Initial Offerings

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know my obsession with this shop. They sell the most beautiful collection of preppy and personalized pillows, stationary, cups, mugs, wrapping paper, gift tags, etc... I could scroll through this shop for hours. Shop through her beautiful items here.

Eight // for King and Country Drive-In Concert

This past Wednesday, my family went to a drive-in concert for King and Country and it was AMAZING! Their version of Little Drummer Boy is the best I have ever heard. Seeing and hearing it in person gave me chills. You can watch my favorite performance of it here.

Well there you have some of my recent favorite things friends. I hope you all have a restful week as we await the arrival of the miracle that is Christmas. I am so thankful that Jesus came to earth for us.

Talk to you soon!

xoxo
