How to Cut a Blanket Scarf

Happy Wednesday everyone! I am so excited for today's blog post. I have always loved fun plaid blanket scarfs but have found them to be way to heavy to wear in the Florida heat this time of year, or any time of the year really. I wanted to share how I cut mine to make them much lighter and easier to wear for those of you who don't live in the arctic either. I also listed some really cute and cheap places to find blanket scarfs! Enjoy friends!

Step One:
Find a large surface and fold the blanket scarf into a triangle. Slightly overlap the top so the top part is a little larger. This gives you room in case your cutting isn't quite straight.

Step Two:
Use sharp scissors to cute straight across the top, to form two triangles.

Step Three:
Throw away the bottom triangle and straighten out the cutting of your top triangle until it is fairly straight.

Step Four:
Throw it on! The cutting won't be seen when you wear it so have the bottom of the triangle pointing down and cross the ends around your neck. Tuck the ends under the triangle and rock it girl!

BEFORE & AFTER
Ah it feels so much better! I am so glad I went through all my blanket scarfs and cut them, because they are so much more wearable now.

Cute & Cheap Blanket Scarfs:
  • Target Dollar Spot this time of year often has giant and cute blanket scarfs for only a few dollars. The navy one in the photos above, was from the dollar spot last year.
  • Amazon has pretty much every color option of blanket scarfs for not a bad price. You can shop my favorites here

I hope y'all have a great rest of your day. Send me photos of your cute scarfs!

xoxo
