Draper James Brunch - Lemon Blueberry Bread Recipe (Gluten and Lactose Free!)

Happy Sunday. Sunday brunch after attending church early in the morning is a tradition in many homes. I love finding cute ways to serve up food for family. I introduce to you.... the Draper James Brunch Collection (cue the angels singing). This set is basically me in a plate. The sassy sayings, blue and white stripes and gingham, the gold touches, it. is. perfect. Now how can I get Reese Witherspoon herself to show up to my Sunday brunch?
Today we are serving up some BREAD! I love bread.... but you already knew that ;) Because this was a family affair I decided to make this gluten and lactose free, just to be safe. It was still just as delicious. Tuck her in!

(Gluten and Lactose Free) Lemon Blueberry Bread
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 cup blueberries, tossed with 2 teaspoons flour
For the Lemon Glaze:
1/3 cup sugar
3 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions:
Heat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
Stir flour, baking powder, and salt together.
In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs 1 at a time.
Add the flour mixture alternating with the milk.
Fold in the lemon zest and blueberries. Pour into loaf pan.
Bake for 55-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
For the Lemon Glaze:
Combine the sugar and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Once you have taken the bread out of the over, pierce it with a fork all over the top, and drizzle the glaze over top. Let cool for at least 30 minutes and then remove to a wire rack.
