What we Read This Week:
At the age of seventeen Joseph had a dream that his brothers, mother, and father would bow down to him as their ruler. His brothers envied him for the dreams and for the beautiful coat which his father had given him. The brothers plotted to kill Joseph but instead sold him as a slave to Potiphar. Potiphar was quickly impressed with Joseph and made him head of all he owned. Potiphar's wife falsely accused Joseph, and he was put in prison. However, even in prison he was placed in charge of all the prisoners, and he, to their surprise, interpreted the dreams of the Pharaoh's baker and butler.
Relating it to Your Life:
God has blessed all of us with special gifts and regardless of our circumstances or our current place, we can use our gifts for good. Joseph probably thought his life was falling apart, however, he continued to use his gifts and leadership to help and lead those around him. We should all pray daily for opportunities to use our gifts for good as well.
