2021 Design Hacks & Inspiration

Hi there! What are you up to this weekend? I have been so confused what day it is, anyone else? The weeks around Christmas and New Years are always so exciting but confusing as well, ha.

Today I thought it would be fun to share some fun home decor and design inspiration. I always love seeing other bloggers' create inspiration boards and thought it would be fun to share what I have been eyeing lately. I have a rather bright style but some of the design hacks I have come across can be altered and used to accommodate more neutral styles as well.

Let's dive in!

Bright Patios

I have been obsessed lately with bright patio décor and design. I always love spending time sitting outside in the Florida sun and think that these bright patios reflect my love for the Florida sunshine perfectly. I just love to sit out on the patio and read my book, get a tan, or listen to music.

I can totally see myself sitting on one of these pretty patios with my ukulele strumming away while sipping some fresh lemonade. I don't think it really gets more relaxing then that.

Front Door Decals

I have loved this cute trend I have seen floating around Pinterest. How cute are these front doors that have little sayings on them. You can purchase these decals that you just peel and stick on your front door and then voila... have a super unique and witty welcoming to your home.

I also love how bright these doors are. I know some home owner associations don't allow for front doors being painted such bright colors, but if they do, why not go for it? It is so bright and happy. Add a fun saying, and you can have the happiest front door in the neighborhood.

Home Libraries

Y'all know there is nothing I love more than books. I love to read and wander through shelves and shelves of books, in search of a thrilling new read that will consume me from page one. I can't imagine anything more wonderful and inspiring than a room completely full of books.

I definitely prefer more lighted spaces with brighter decor but the photos of these home libraries are so dreamy. I want a Hogwarts inspired home library. Wouldn't that be so magical and amazing?

Faux Brickwork

Have you guys heard of Faux Brick wall panels? I love the look of brick inside homes, especially white brick, but it can be difficult to make that happen. It doesn't have to be difficult any longer though, because you can have these faux brick wall panels installed easily for a rustic and natural look in any home or room. I thought this was a really cool design hack that was worth sharing. If you are a fan of the farmhouse style of decorating, I think this is an especially handy hack to know. I feel like Joanna  Gaines would love this trick!

Seashell Mirrors

I originally fell in love with the idea of these seashell covered mirrors when in a Lilly Pulitzer fitting room. I absolutely loved the look of the seashells especially since I love the beach and beach inspired décor so much.

There are some places that do sell them already done, but I am sure crafty people could find a way to make this themselves. I imagine that you can save a lot of money by figuring out how to make it yourself. I love that mirrors can open up a space so much, and think the seashells could make it a really fun statement.

Rattan Furniture

I love the look of rattan and whicker furniture with palm beach inspired décor. Add some palm trees, pink and other bright colors, and I would be set. There are other ways you can add rattan details in your home that aren't as permanent as furniture. You can add small coasters, picture frames, etc.. to add elements of rattan to your home.

Well there you have some of my recent decor and design inspo and hacks! What were some of your favorite things from this post? What recent hacks or finds have you come across? Leave all of your ideas and inspo in the comments below. I can't wait to chat with y'all soon about the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale. See you soon!
