Happy Monday! Is there even such a thing? This week is my last full week of school so I am getting pretty excited for Christmas break! What are y'all doing this Christmas break? If you haven't gotten all caught up on our Events of the Bible series, you can do so here. We are looking at a passage where even years ago, Gods people refused to do something he called them to do because of FEAR. Lets dive into the Wilderness Wanderings this afternoon!
What We Read This Week:
Even though the Lord was faithful to Israel they did not trust Him. many times they grumbled for water, food, and meat and he provided but they still did not believe that he would keep his promise to give them the land of Canaan. When they arrived at the borders of Canaan, they sent in spies and only two of the twelve came back thinking they could defeat the inhabitants, so they refused to enter. God was mad that they wouldn't enter the land so he made them wander around the wilderness for 40 years. He provided food and water and kept their shoes and clothes from wearing off. The adults that refused to have faith and trust in God, died in the wilderness.
Relating it to Your Life:
How many times do we feel led to do something but after scoping out the situation, we say "nah God that's a little too much for me"? I think I probably do that more than I realize. God doesn't bring us to a situation we can't handle so don't over think it. Don't drag the process out, God will take care of you.
