What We Read This Week:
As Joshua drew near to death, he called all of the tribes of Israel to him to give them a special message before he died. First, he reminded them of all the blessings God has provided by giving them the promised land. Second, he warned them of what would happen if they ever forsake God. He warned them that this is not the way to do things. Third, he recounted the story of Israel to all of them. Finally, he pleaded with the people not to forsake the Lord, but to follow after Him wholeheartedly.
Relating it to Your Life:
I think we can personally take away from Joshua's words of wisdom. He like everyone, struggled with trusting God and his promises, but when it came to his last words, he had nothing else to say other than to trust God and draw close to him in every area of your life. Amen Joshua. Amen.
