BIG Spontaneous Miscellaneous!!

Hiya pal! Happy Saturday. I have taken the week off of blogging to have some FUN and I can't wait to share all of it with you. These are my favorite types of posts because I get to share my favorite memories, fashion finds, and other random favs from the past week with y'all. Let's get on with this!

My Favorite Things This Week:

Disney World Annual Pass!
If you follow me on Instagram you already know this but my sister and I bought an annual pass to Disney World which we haven't had since we were kids. To say we are thrilled wouldn't even begin to describe it. I love living here!

My last post last week was a book recap, sharing every thing I have read in the past month or so and I have loved hearing on Instagram, some of y'alls book recommendations also. I thought I would update you though and let you know that I did finish "The Devil In Pew Number Sever" and can say it was INCREDIBLE. I can't believe that it is a true story that happened right here in America. It's a must read.

The Movie "RV"
My family watched this together and LAUGHED our BUTTS off! It was hilarious! You have to watch!

Favorite Moments This Past Week:

Spending time with my Momma!
My mom and I had big plans to go to a fashion show but plans changed a little bit and I really had the best time just driving around and eating dinner with my sweet Momma. It is rare that girls my age want to spend time with their mothers but mine is just the best! We have too much fun together and she always makes me laugh!

My Sister Playing in the Church Band!
My sister's church youth band got to lead worship for the whole church on Sunday and it was GREAT! She was so stinkin' cute up there with her guitar jammin out!

Going to Magic Kingdom
My sister and I have made two trips to Magic Kingdom this past week after getting our passes and boy has it been a blast. The first time we went during the day and we were SO hot. We definitely enjoyed last night better because it was a tad cooler. Check out my Instagram to follow along on our Disney adventures. Love this girl!

Favorite Fashion Finds:

I went to a local boutique and found the COMFIEST denim shorts and they were this brand. So stretchy and comfortable too.

Checkered Shorts
These are so stinkin' cute but run small! If you order them, make sure to order a size or two up.

Snow White Ears
How cute are these detailed mickey ears from this etsy shop? I can't wait to wear these in the parks.

That's about all I have to share today! Expect plenty of blog posts coming up this week. I will talk to you soon!

Book Reviews

Happy Wednesday everyone! WOW have I been reading recently. I have been so eager to share my recent readings and am dying to hear about yours too. Here are my thoughts on some books I have read in the last month.

The Hating Game by: Sally Thorne
First of all, I saw this on a lady's blog who I always get recommendations from and she claimed that this book was her favorite book she read in 2016 so I had to pick it up. I was however VERY disappointed. First of all, this book is definitely not as teen friendly and more of an adult read which I don't usually care for in some aspects. It was pretty cheesy and I didn't care for the characters. I was sad that it didn't turn out as great as I expected.

All The Pretty Things by: Edie Wadsworth
Y'all may not know this but I LOVE autobiographies and stories of other's lives. As much as I adore being immersed into a fictional story and setting, I love learning about realistic people and where they come from. Edie Wadsworth has lived a very rough life from what sounds like her whole life. I would like to say that this book shows how she turned to God and her life became easier but it took more than a quick prayer to heal the hurt in her heart and the stained memories of her awful childhood. She has had to have full trust and faith in a powerful God to persevere through impossible circumstances and this book made me cry at several parts. It is hard to imagine people living this way but it is a very true reality and shows that God can love and bring peace to those living in the most non-peaceful places.

The Lucky Few by: Heather Avis
Y'all I loved this quick read! It is a fairly short book (I finished it in one day) and is written perfectly. I sometimes find that when reading autobiographies some people can get a little wordy but Heather Avis did a great job describing both hard and painful scenarios along with beautiful moments without dragging out the book, which I appreciated. This is the story of Heather Avis and her husband's journey to adopting three children, two of which have down syndrome. I have a huge passion to adopt one day so this book shed some light on the difficulties in this process and the beauty in the result. Such a great read!

A Love That Multiplies by: Michelle Duggar
My sweet bestie let me borrow this book since she liked it so much but I have to say I wasn't a huge fan. It was kind of wordy (reference above to my dislike of wordy autobiographies), and because I have watched the 19 Kids and Counting show for several years, I didn't feel like there was a lot I didn't already know. If you didn't grow up watching this show though and want to learn more about the Duggars and what they stand for and how they raised 19 children, then I would recommend this book.
Currently Reading:
The Devil in Pew Number Seven by: Rebecca Nichols Alonzo
OH MY WORD Y'ALL! This book is so intense and has my nerves on edge because it is a TRUE STORY. This is the most suspenseful book I may have ever read. I just started it a couple hours ago and am already almost done. This will be finished by midnight I am sure. Here is the description on the back on the book:
"Rebecca never felt safe as a child. In 1969, her father, Robert Nichols, moved to Sellerstown, North Carolina, to serve as a pastor. There he found a small community eager to welcome him―with one exception. Glaring at him from pew number seven was a man obsessed with controlling the church. Determined to get rid of anyone who stood in his way, he unleashed a plan of terror that was more devastating and violent than the Nichols family could have ever imagined. Refusing to be driven away by acts of intimidation, Rebecca’s father stood his ground until one night when an armed man walked into the family’s kitchen . . . And Rebecca’s life was shattered. If anyone had a reason to harbor hatred and seek personal revenge, it would be Rebecca. Yet The Devil in Pew Number Seven tells a different story. It is the amazing true saga of relentless persecution, one family’s faith and courage in the face of it, and a daughter whose parents taught her the power of forgiveness."

What books have you been loving recently?? Make sure to let me know so I can read your recommendations! I will talk to you soon!

Travel Bucketlist

Happy Monday everyone. I just got back from campus getting small things done for the upcoming school year. I am so enjoying my summer but am very ready for school to start back in about a month. I am someone who does better with a routine and find that during the summer my schedule is all crazy. I will be excited come mid-August for a more regular plan for each day.

While I am talking about a lack of schedule, I thought we could talk about our travel dreams together, because all of us partially want to travel to at least a couple different places in our lifetime right? I am certainly not someone who longs for a life of constant travel. I hear so many people say they dream of "living out of a suitcase". Nothing sounds worse to me. I have been fortunate to go on several fantastic family vacations growing up and plan on doing the same with my family one day. However, after a week of staying in a hotel, I am always ready to come home (remember the whole need for routine bit?). I also have a HUGE fear of flying and hate long drives so the process of getting somewhere fun is often times my worst nightmare. I do however, have a list of places in the world that I am dying to see in person. There is so much to learn in seeing places so different then where you come from and I am dying to experience some different cultures, appetites, and views. Here is my travel bucket list..

Paris, France
If you know me, you know this is a no-brainer. I have owned several books all about Paris, France and took French in high school. Although I didn't remember much about speaking the language I always LOVED learning more about this city and country. I am DYING to visit here and have already planned out my whole trip I will take one day thanks to my multiple coffee table books and Pinterest.

Vermont (During the Fall)
This isn't out of the country but I have always wanted to take a trip to somewhere during the Fall to take in the Fall foliage and do some apple picking and cider drinking. This state looks so stunning and am dying to see it in person one day.

Kuaii, Hawaii
Who doesn't want to spend some time in Hawaii? Again, not international, but I am still longing for the beautiful nature there is on this island. I have always wanted to go cage diving with great white sharks in Hawaii. This might be the last place I ever travel to ;)

Tokyo, Japan
I haven't done much research about Japan but have always found this culture fascinating. I have seen several videos and pictures of Tokyo and think it would be a fun packed vacation if I ever went.

Waco and Mckinney, Texas
This is quite a silly one but my mom and I have always wanted to go to Waco TX to see the Magnolia house and the Silos (which is Chip and Joanna Gaines mini empire built in their hometown!) While we are in Texas we thought we might as well stop by Mckinney. This is a small town that Shay Shull, Andrea McAnally, and Erika Slaughter live in. They are bloggers my mom and I have been following for years and always joke about how cute their hometown is and how we feel like we would fit in there!

Roadtrip through California
My sister and I have always said that one day we want to take a road trip in a jeep through this state and experience all the famous and touristy places. My sister and I always have fun together but a trip like that might just be the BEST!

Shanghai Disneyland
I obviously wouldn't travel all the way to China just to see another Disney park but I certainly have seeing this park on my bucket list. It is so beautiful and I think seeing a Disney park in a country so different from mine would be so cool. I also would like to explore the city of Shanghai as well!

Alaskan Cruise
I have never really wanted to go on a cruise but when I saw that you can see parts of Alaska on a cruise that you can't see on foot, I was hooked. This place looks stunning.

There you have it! A random collection of places I am dying to see one day. Have you been to any of these places? What places are on your travel bucket list? I am thinking in a couple of weeks of doing a "Florida Bucketlist" which I might be able to check off a little faster.

I will talk to you very soon!

Spontaneous Miscellaneous

Happy Friday everyone! I can't believe last week I completely forgot to do my Spontaneous Miscellaneous. It just completely slipped my mind. That means we have TWO weeks full of fun to catch up on!

My Favorite Things This Week:

World Of Dance
Y'all this show is so interesting! I used to be a dancer so watching Dancing competitions is always fascinating for me. The layout of this show is so great and the dancers on here are CRAZY good!

Shaeffer's Bachelorette Recaps
I have mentioned this lady before but OH my y'all. Her recaps every Wednesday of the Bachelorette crack me up! Who are your favorites? My favorite for her is Peter, however I think she is going to pick Bryan. And I REALLY want Dean to be the next bachelor but think it might be Peter. Did you get all that?

Michael's Notepads and Notebooks
This is so random but y'all know my heart love for anything paper. Notbooks, notepads, planners, journals, ALL OF IT! So when Michael's had these adorable matching pads and notebooks I about died. Are they not the cutest things you have ever seen? My life should honestly never have flaws as many planning tools as I have :)

This book is SO good y'all! It is the story of a woman who became a doctor against all odds and goes through a lifetime of rough events and eventually finds her faith and creates a life she loves. This book had me crying at multiple parts because it is so hard to see children raised this way and adults who still struggle with it. Y'all have to read it!

My Favorite Moments This Past Week:

Going to Disney Springs with my sister/ best friend is always a blast! I did a full blog post and vlog but here are a few pictures. I love this girl... and this place. I flippin' love living right outside of Orlando. I don't have to deal with the bad parts of living there but am a short drive away when I want to have some magical fun.

Doing Water Aerobics is my new favorite thing! Y'all know I have always loved to run and ran a 10k in Febuary but I kind of put my running on halt after April because it is TOO DANG HOT! I can't do any outdoor activities in the summer here in Florida unless it is 4 in the morning #noma'am
Having my own pool has made it so convenient to exercise whenever I want. I just googled exercises to do and then swim laps as well. I do about 30-45 minutes and am SO sore afterwards.

My Favorite Fashion Finds This Week:

These two shirts from the Main Street Press make me long for days in Animal Kingdom!

What are some of your favs from this week? Let me know. Talk to you on Monday.

xoxo
