3 Ways to Wear a Summer Scarf

Hey y'all and happy Friday. It is a HAPPY Friday indeed because I am finished with all my exams and school and enjoying free time. I have gone out for breakfast with a friend, gone for a good run, laid out by the pool and watched old movies. I am LOVING summer so far!!

The other day I came home from work and my mom had found this adorable pom pom scarf from Michaels (in-store only)! I love small little scarfs like this that can be worn so many different ways.
I watched the movie Man in the Moon yesterday, mostly because I just love Reese Witherspoon, and she was so young in that movie! I have to say though that movie was SO sad oh my. I am always looking for good movie and TV show recommendations so PLEASE let me know your favorite Netflix or Prime finds!
I love this summer scarf tied around my neck, purse, or in my hair for something different! They are super trendy right now so keep an eye out for ones similar! I will link some similar ones below that I love!

I will talk to you very soon! I am so happy to be able to have more time to blog now that school is over!

Buffalo Chicken Spaghetti Squash

Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing my newfound obsession and that would be...

Spaghetti Squash!!! Y'all this is the coolest vegetable ever. I found this site on Pinterest that has a ton of Spaghetti Squash recipes and decided to try the Buffalo Chicken recipe which can be found here.

Y'all will love this recipe. It is super simple to make, and although it does take some time, one spaghetti squash can easily be 2-3 meals. It tastes just as good reheated and eaten another day!

Have a great Wednesday!

My Easter Dress | Pink Seersucker Shift Dress

Happy Monday gang!! Today is an exciting Monday because it is the start of my last week of high school EVER! Well not exactly. The majority of my classes are online, so although I still have to go to the campus a little bit here and there, all of my online classes will be done by Friday! I think I might just explode with excitement. High school has been the roughest years for me and I can't WAIT to be through! I am ready to start college and am excited to see what God has in store for this new chapter of my life. Wish me luck as I finish everything up this week!!

How cute is this dress that I wore for Easter yesterday? I was in LOVE! Seersucker is a favorite trend of mine, and pink is of course my favorite color. It also matches perfectly with this cute purse my aunt gave to me :) Not to mention, it is extremely comfortable and reasonable. I worked in the nursery at my church yesterday while wearing this and was completely comfortable with one year old kids hanging on me and chasing me around outside. Now that is a good dress. If it passes the nursery test, it's a win in my book :)

How was y'all Easter? I absolutely LOVED mine. My sweet parents and grandparents got me an Easter basket full of candy (and most importantly Flamin' Hot Cheetos OH YEAH!) and we enjoyed church service and then great food at my grandparents house. Have y'all been eating chocolate for 24 hours now because I sure have!

I hope you have a great start to your week. I will talk to you again soon (assuming school doesn't swallow me whole)!

Yes Fit Virtual Race Review

Happy Monday everyone! A little while back, in this blog post, I mentioned that I was participating in a virtual run through Yes Fit. They are a website that hold a variety of different virtual runs. They are all different distances and only 25$. You can run the distance all at once or at different times, and at whatever pace you would like. I signed up for the Alice in Wonderland 22.4 mile run. I completed it in a little under two weeks and synced my running watch to the website so that each time I went for a run it went to the site and tracked my miles. This website is super cool because they send you emails once you reach certain "mile markers" and send you google map images of where you are on the race "route" through wherever your race is held. The Alice in Wonderland race takes you through Oxford and around the Thames River where Alice in Wonderland was first created. I received emails of pictures where I am on the route and encouraging me to keep going. Once I finished the 22.4 miles, I immediately received an email with the tracking number for my medal. It was all very organized and efficient which I was very impressed with.
So now that you all know how it works, I will give you some overall thoughts I had about the whole virtual race thing.

First, I would say that I liked the idea of a virtual run because it keeps you motivated to run. It gives you a reason to push yourself, because the faster you run those miles, the faster you get your medal. I like having something to work for. After the Disney Princess 10K I really didn't feel like running because I had worked and trained for a year to build up a fast pace and distance for that race that once it was over I was feeling burned out. I signed up for this Alice in Wonderland virtual race so that I can stay motivated and not loose my pace and stamina. It worked too! I loved having something to work toward.
The one thing about virtual runs, especially Yes Fit that I would say I don't really like is that the distances are so long that I couldn't possibly run it all in one day. Therefore, I had no choice but to split it up between multiple days and run the miles when I had time. This almost made it feel like I was just getting a medal for doing what I would do normally anyways. Now granted, I did earn the medal because I did run the distance, and it forced me to push myself, but it didn't feel as good as if I had just ran a 5k distance all at once and then received a medal. Disney virtual races I have heard are more like that but I can't speak from experience on that one. The registration for the Disney Virtual races open tomorrow at noon! I won't be participating because it is a tad too expensive in my opinion considering it is just a virtual run, but to each their own.
To sum it all up, the pros of Yes Fit races are that they are an easy way to stay motivated and push yourself, the medal is beautiful, it is only 25$, and they are super quick and efficient. The only con is that the distances are super long and it can sometimes be a pain to drag it out so long.

I hope this was interesting for some of you, and that you will be inspired to sign up for a virtual run yourself. Yes Fit has a ton of themed races so you have plenty of choices :) Have a great weekend!

Two Ways to Wear Black & White for Spring!

Happy Monday everyone! Today is the start of my BIRTHDAY WEEK WHOOOP! This Thursday I become an official adult :(((((( Oh no!! I am very excited for a relaxing day of no work or school and celebrating with family.
Today I am sharing two spring looks that both incorporate black and white in a fun way for warmer weather coming our way. It already feels like summer here in Florida. Both of these looks are so cute and trendy. I will of course have links for you to shop both of these outfits. Enjoy!

LOOK #1

I about flipped over this Old Navy top (which is now on sale for only 18$)!! It is so trendy and classy at the same time. I love the off the shoulder trend but sometimes find pieces to be uncomfortable and tight around my shoulders. I hate not being able to move and be comfy. This shirt is super flexible and allows you to move like usual while still being caauuute! Not to mention the black and white combo always works nicely with a tan come summer!

Look #2

The obvious star of this outfit is the LEOPARD SHOES!! I found these brand new Michael Kors flats at Style Encore which I gushed about (in this blog post) Friday, for only 30$. Heck.to.the.YES! They are so comfy for flats and can spice up the most neutral of outfits. This look was a challenge because I had to mix black and brown which is sometimes tricky but I found that the brown necklace and black and brown purse tied it together nicely. GIMME ALL THE LEOPARD!

I hope you recieved some great ideas for your Spring and Summer wardrobe! Black and white are such classic peices that never go out of style! Have a great start to your week. I will talk to you soon!
