Gluten Free Easter Dirt Cake!

Happy Saturday y'all! I just love Easter. I love the bright colors of springs, white comes back in style, and everyone gets all dressed up to spend time with family. But more than anything I love that on this day of the year, people make God and church a priority. This is the church's one time a year to really reach people that may only come to church one time a year and that is so exciting for me.

I hope y'all enjoy time with your family tomorrow and take time to go to church to remind yourself of how much God loves you that he would send his one and only son Jesus to die a brutal death for you. Man God is good! Maybe while you are doing all this you will want to munch on this little treat. This is easy, doesn't take any time to bake, and can easily be scooped into bowls for your guests.

Also Side Note: I L.O.V.E. Michaels. They get me so pumped for each and every holiday and make me so excited to be a teacher one day so that I can have cute parties with little people just as excited as me :)

Ingredients:
2 packages of  Oreos (I used the gluten free chocolate Oreos)
1 8 oz. PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese (softened)
½ cup butter
1 cup powdered sugar
1 large container cool whip (16 ounces)
2 boxes INSTANT vanilla pudding
3 cups milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Peeps (the bunnies not the chicks)
Pastel M&M's or any other decorative candy you wish to use

Directions:
Crush the first package of gluten free Oreos and press a long the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.
With a standing mixer with a paddle attachment mix the cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar. Then add in the cool whip.
In a separate bowl, mix yourself the pudding mix, milk, and vanilla.
Add the two mixtures together in a bowl and mix well.
Pour the combined mixture over the pan.
Crush the second package of Oreos and spread on top.
Once this is done add the Easter decorations to the top of the cake and let chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving. Keep in the refrigerator when not enjoying.

Hope y'all have a great Easter weekend. God Bless!

De Leon Springs Fashion & VIDEO!

Hey everybody! Here are a few pictures of my outfit I wore a few days ago to De Leon Springs with my family. De Leon Springs State Park here in Florida is seriously one of the coolest places I have ever been. You can swim in the springs, kayak, peddle boat, take a boat tour, pack a picnic, fly a kite, you name it! This is one of the cutest places I have seen. But the heart of it all is the Old Spanish Sugar Mill Pancake Restaurant. This restaurant is definitely worth the 3 hour wait! This is such a fun little get away for the day if you live in the Central Florida area or are here visiting.

I put together a quick video of the place so you can get a feel for what its like. You can watch it below or check it out on my YouTube Channel.

Hope y'all enjoy your weekend! I will have an Easter Sweet Saturday up tomorrow! Happy Good Friday y'all. Take some time today to thank Jesus for dying for your sins. He sure is incredible! Talk to you soon!

Zootopia Movie Review

Hey Y'all! I am sure you have all been hearing buzz about the release of the movie Zootopia in theaters and I am here to share that it is every bit as great as people believed it would be. Disney does it again.. a fantastic kids movie with an entertaining adult message. Here's are all the deets!

Summary:
When Judy Hopps becomes the first rabbit to join the police force in the land of Zootopia where all kinds of mammals populate the city, she realizes her size makes it hard for her to be taken seriously. She hops (no pun intended) on the chance to solve a mysterious case in attempt to prove she is serious but finds that those involved and her unlikely partner might be more dangerous than she thinks.

My Thoughts:
I had heard that this movie had a few humorous adult scenes and a great message for all adults and kids and they weren't kidding! This movie has a great message about not letting your size, gender, or any societal classification keep you from living your dreams regardless of how many people don't believe in you. This movie is funny, entertaining, sweet, and flies by quick (always a sign of an intriguing movie). I would definitely recommend you go see it!

What You Need To Know:
Now this is a Disney Cartoon rated PG so naturally there isn't going to be anything you should guard your kids from. No violence, no sex, and no inappropriate or foul language. You are all good parents! :)

Watch The Trailer:

Well I hope you are convinced! This is a great movie and ranks up there with some of my favorite Disney animated movies. Give it a go! Talk to you soon!

Events of the Bible: Othniel and Ehud- Weekly Devotion

Good afternoon everyone! As you know, we are continuing to work our way through each and every event of the bible in hopes of knowing both the bible and God better. Here we go!

What We Read This Week:
Israel (again) sinned against the Lord. They intermarried with Canaanites, forgot God, and worshipped false gods. The Lord punished them by letting the King arrest them for eight years. Israel finally called out to God and he released them. After 40 years of peace however, Israel made the same mistakes. The Lord punished them by having the sinister king Eglon to rule over them. He had alliances with those who wanted to kill all of Israel. Again, those of Israel called out to God and he rescued them. Othniel and Ehud were sent by God to help deliver Israel.

Relating it to Your Life:
Oh geesh Israel come on! You would think that the people would get the idea by now that they are making the same mistakes right? But don't we continue to go back to our old mistakes and then have to call on God for help. Just because God is so quick to forgive us, doesn't mean that we should return back to doing wrong. I am guilty of this. I ask God for contentment and as soon as I have that, I return to wanting what someone else has or wanting something differently.

If you need a little boost in your prayer life here are some ideas of things to talk to God about this week as we think about this devotion.
1. Pray that God will not only save you from the wrong that you are doing now, but ask for strength to NEVER have to go back to it. EVER.
2. Give praise and thanks to God that regardless of what we do wrong, he is there to listen and help.
3. Pray that those who are currently leading our country and those that will soon be leading our country, will be able to call on God for help. America needs your prayers and so do our leaders.

I have worn this romper before on the blog but had to bring it out again as the beautiful spring weather was coming. I LOVE me some pink! Not to mention that the purse is to die for!

Events of the Bible: The Juges of Israel- Weekly Devotion

What We Read This Week:
The book of Judges is all about God's faithfulness and Israel's unfaithfulness. In Joshua, God told the sons of Israel to drive out the people living in the Promised Land. When they were unfaithful, God gave their enemies into their hands. They were often tempted and worshiped false gods. They were then oppressed and eventually cried out to God. God would send a judge to free them however, this pattern was repeated multiple times.

Relating it to Your Life:
This is an event I included just because it describes this book of the bible and sets the scene for the events to come, but basically we can take a few things away from this summary. We can learn from the sons of Israel that we need to learn from our mistakes in the past. We can also take note that God is always faithful. Call upon God for anything and he will rescue you. Worth a shot right? If you feel scared and know that you've done wrong, ask for forgiveness and help! In his timing, help will come!

I will talk to y'all real soon!

'The Finest Hours'- Movie Review

OMG YALL! You know it's gonna be a good movie review when I start the review in all caps. Kind of like one of the recent movie reviews I did for 'Brooklyn'. This is a fantastic movie, I am just sad I didn't go and see it earlier. This is one of those movies I would love to watch a few more times because I know I would pick up more information and piece more and more things together.

There are several reasons to see this movie:
1. Chris Pine is in it
2. It is a captivating and thrilling movie
3. Chris Pine is in it

Ready to watch yet girls??

Summary:
Based off a true story, on February 18th, 1952, a massive storm split the SS Pendleton in half. Under seemingly impossible odds, Chief Cluff sends Bernie Webber and three men on a life boat into the disastrous weather to save the men that are stranded on this sinking ship. As the Engineer Ray Sybert takes charge of the men on the ship, they wait and keep the ship above water as they wait and pray Bernie and his men can find them.

My Thoughts:
Oh my goodness y'all, this movie is I.N.T.E.N.S.E!! This is a movie based off a true story. This is still to this day considered one of the greatest single boat rescue missions of all time. The actors and actresses in this movie portray the time period perfectly and there are such charming moments through out the film that will have you wishing you were in the 50's right now. However this is also a very thrilling movie with a lot of drama. From the minute the movie starts you are on the edge of your seat tapping your heel up and down like a crazy person. Not going to lie, me and my sister may have been bracing our selves holding on to each other shaking at parts. This isn't a very emotional movies as far as crying goes but it will definitely make you tear up at parts. More than anything you will have chills down your spine every other scene. I am blown away by others bravery and willingness to fight for my freedom.

What You Need To Know:
This is actually a pretty clean movie with hardly any language. There are a few cuss words thrown around a few times but other than that, the language and characters are very classy.  There is no sex scenes or nudity and no terribly bloody scenes. For a war time movie, it wasn't bad at all. There were a few deaths, none of which were visual or frightening. Love that this movie was SO great and intense without adding so much of those useless affects.

Watch The Trailer:

That's all I have for ya folks :) I hope you go to see it in theaters or support it when it comes out on Redbox and DVD. To all of the brave men and women who have served in the Navy or Coast Guard like my grandad: Thank you.
