Kutest Koozies!

How stinkin' cute are these koozies! I know most of y'all are still watching snow fall and drinking hot chocolate, but lets just daydream for a bit about spring break and sunny beaches which will be here before we know it! These koozies from Pink House Press are just adorable. You can rep any team or state and she even can personalize them for wedding gifts etc... And these koozies aren't the only thing she makes or sells either. I of course had to get the Alabama and Florida one because I am an Alabama football fan (obvi) and because I live in Florida. They are both PERFECT and keep my drink from sweating and dripping.. plus for $5 it doesn't get much cuter than that! Win win!
Hope y'all have a great hump day! I will talk to y'all very soon!

Events of the Bible: Spies to Canaan- Weekly Devotion

What we Learned This Week:
To first set the scene, God has told the Hebrews that he will lead them into the promised land, and Joshua is their chosen leader.
Joshua sent two spies across the Jordan River to gather information about Jericho. Jericho was a major city in Canaan and was the be the first target of the Hebrews.
The spies found lodging and protection in the house of Rahab who was a prostitute. When the leaders of Jericho heard that there were spies in their city, the tried to capture them. When the leaders approached Rahab's home, she hid the spies and told the gentlemen that they had already left. This saved the spies lives.
Rahab trusted God and was blessed. She believed the promises that God had given Abraham (a while ago) concerning Canaan and knew that God had given Jericho to the Hebrews. She was willing to lie to the leaders of the land she lived in, in order to save the spies' lives. She was a huge part of God's plan and believed in his promises.
Rahab later became the mother of Boaz and an ancestor of Jesus.

Relating this to Your Life:
The one thing I personally hear all the time and it makes me quite disappointed in Christians (including myself) these days is "trust me I can't be a Christian, I have done too many bad things." UM NO. You see home girl Rahab here was a prostitute. A PROSTITUTE. And she became an ancestor of Jesus, God's son. Yeah folks. God didn't just use her in his plan for Jericho, he later uses her as part of the lineage of Jesus. Trust me, God doesn't care what you have done in the past. There have been times I wasn't proud of the person I was, but the great thing about Christianity is that God wants you regardless of who you are and what you have done. He will work to change your heart once you are following him.
You don't have to change to follow God. Follow God and you will change.

Buffalo Chicken Soup and the Best Grilled Cheese

easy buffalo chicken soup crockpot and three cheese grilled cheese juliana grace blog space
Y'all it has been a hot minute since I did a Tasty Tuesday! I have to admit, it felt pretty good cooking for the first time in a while. This winter weather definitely calls for some hot soup and grilled cheese... can I have an amen?
Now today I am sharing a spicy buffalo chicken soup recipe and my favorite grilled cheese to cool your mouth down! Enjoy and try to stay warm!
Buffalo Chicken Soup
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
A dash of onion powder
A tablespoon of minced garlic
48 ounces of chicken broth
1 cup of buffalo wing sauce (if you aren't a huge spicy person but still want the buffalo flavor then add less of this sauce)
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons cornstarch
shredded cheddar cheese
green onions
1 avocado sliced
Directions:
Place the chicken, onion powder, minced garlic, and wing sauce in the crockpot. Cook on high for 10 minutes and then on low for 6-8 hours. After this amount of time, shred the chicken breasts apart using two forks.
Mix the heavy cream and cornstarch together in a separate bowl and then add to the crockpot before cooking for the final 20-30 minutes.
Dish soup into bowls and top with cheese, green onions, and a slice or two of avocado. Enjoy!
3 Cheese Grilled Cheese
Serves: 6
Ingredients:
12 slices of high quality bakery bread-sourdough works great
6 slices of Muenster cheese
6 slices of Provolone Cheese
6 slices of Colby Jack Cheddar cheese
6 teaspoons of Dijon Mustard
6 Tablespoons of butter
3 tablespoons of minced garlic
A dash of red pepper flakes
A dash of thyme
Directions:
In a saucepan, melt your butter, garlic, red pepper flakes, and thyme.
Let simmer while assembling sandwiches.
Lay your slices of break out and spread 1/2 teaspoon of mustard onto each slice. Then layer a slice of each cheese on top of one slice of bread and place the second slice of bread on top to make a sandwich.
Using a pastry brush, brush the butter mixture onto the top and bottom of all the sandwhiches before placing in a separate heated skillet.
Cook each sandwich until both sides are brown and all the cheese has completely melted. Enjoy!
Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! Talk to you very soon!

Giving Through Buying

Happy Friday! TGIF right? Although I have to say I miss having Scandal on TV right now. I used to always spend Friday afternoons catching up on Olivia Pope. Today is going to be a day full of baking and preparing for a weekend of recipe posts! Keep your eyes peeled for two recipe posts in the next week :)

How cute is the clutch? It is so different and so bright and cheery for this gloomy winter weather. Want to know the best news? When you buy this clutch or any other product from the Global Goods Partners website, you are providing income into poor communities of women in Africa, Asia, and South America. So great to get a beautiful homemade fashion piece while supporting other women across the globe. Check them out for sure. Shout-out to my awesome Aunt for giving me this clutch for Christmas and introducing me to this site!

I will talk to y'all tomorrow! Enjoy your Friday night!

Events of the Bible: Moses Dies & Joshua Assumes Command- Weekly Devotion

What We Read This Week:
God did not let Moses enter the Promised Land. Although Moses was a righteous man, he had disobeyed God and did not believe his word. God did however allow him to look over the promised land before he died. Moses stood with Joshua before he died to let everyone know that he would be their leader. Joshua's name means salvation and to many his name was the same as Jesus. Joshua, like Jesus, brought God's people into their promised blessing.

Relating it to Your Life:
If you have no idea who this Jesus guy is then don't worry, we will learn about him a bit later :) The story of Moses and Joshua both show us that though God may not make it evident that he used you in a big way, he might be using you as a puzzle piece into a bigger picture. If you pass up the opportunities God puts in your life or disobey him, you might be having an effect on others down the line. God is always using you so listen and obey. It is important.

Dress & Booties!

Happy Friday Everyone! How cute is this dress? Also do y'all see my bubble gum pink nails POPPIN'? Perks of having your own job, GEL NAILS! This dress is from a local boutique in Orlando that I just adore and I paired it with booties to look a little more wintery. I have spent a lot of time complaining about the Florida weather during the winter and fall because I feel like as a blogger I don't get to post as many cute wintery outfits like most bloggers. But I encourage all of you to find what your one advantage is so you can work with it! I realize now that I am blessed to live in such a tropical looking state and though during the winter I can't wear pea coats and mittens, I have nice backdrops. My advantage to living in Florida is definitely come spring and summer when I have access to a beach at any time. Be thankful folks for everything in your life. There will always be someone wishing they had what you did.

Now on a lighter note... How great is this for a blooper pic? Photo shoot days with my sister are just TOO fun :D We laughed way to long at this so I hope it makes you crack a smile as well!

Enjoy your weekend everyone! I will be sharing a recipe Subday that may or may not have relevance to the National Championship on Monday night! #RollFreakingTide!!

"Daddy's Home" Movie Review

One of my favorite kinds of posts to write... It's a MOVIE REVIEW!!

Summary:
This movie is about a family with two kids, a mom and a step-dad living a somewhat normal life when suddenly the biological father comes back in town and tries to win back his family. This comedy with Will Farrell shows the insecurities of both dads as they try and out-do or one-up each other.

 My Thoughts:
Honestly I give it a B-. It was funny at parts and stupid at other parts. There were times where I really was slapping my knee laughing but most often, the script was cheesy and fake. I didn't feel attached to any of the characters nor did I really like any of the characters all that much. You don't really know who to root for. Like I said, funny and pretty well made, but not fantastic. Thankfully it isn't a long movie so you don't have to sit through the silly potty humor for too long.

What You Need To Know:
There is some crude language at times and a few cuss words that were definitely unnecessary and added to the "trying-to-hard" humor of the movie. There are a few references to sex but no inappropriate scenes in that sense. I recommend this for ages 13+.

Watch The Trailer:

There you have it folks! In case you were thinking about seeing it, don't have high standards and you should enjoy it. Having good company can definitely make this movie better and even funnier at times!

Have a great hump day!

Events of the Bible: Balaam and His Donkey- Weekly Devotion

What We Read This Week:
The Moabites trembled with fear when they saw Israel because they were as numerous as the stars of the heavens. They also knew that the Lord was at work among Israel. They tried to hire Balaam, an evil man and prophet to curse Israel. However, when he went to do so, Gods anger burned against him and he sent an angel into his path. Balaam could not see the angel but the donkey could and wouldn't move along the path. Balaam began to beat the donkey and the donkey spoke and then Balaam could see the angel. Three times he tried to curse Israel and ended up blessing them each time.
Relating it to Your Life:
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt so compelled to do something based off what the world says is right yet you feel so conflicted because what God wants you to do is the exact opposite. That's what Balaam was feeling during this time. When it comes to crossroads in your life like this, just remember the people in your life now are temporary, God is forever.

2015 for Juliana Grace!

Happy 2016 my loves! Today I thought it would be a bit fun to switch up the regular Saturday content and recap my entire year. I think sometimes we look at our lives from day to day and think that life isn't that exciting, but when we see after a year how much we accomplished and how much we changed, we start to think differently. I thought this would be a good post to always look back on in the future as well :) Lets get right to it then!

Simply Southern Girl

Hello everyone! I hope y'all are all having a great start to your year! What did y'all do for NYE? My family had more of an Alabama football party than a New Years Eve party! Lets just say we sure did end this year with a win. Hope none of y'all are Clemson fans because the Tide is comin' for ya!

Anyways, how cute is this entire outfit. This outfit has a few items that I got for Christmas which I did my best to link above. I am in love with how the duck boots match this purse perfectly. Not to mention, this bag is perfect to fit all my junk in. It's HUGE inside!

I have some exciting posts planned for 2016 and can't wait to see what accomplishments await in the new year. Thanks for all your support this past year here on Juliana Grace Blog Space and for the sweet comments and emails I receive daily. They never go unnoticed. I will be recapping my year on the blog tomorrow so check back for that post :) Talk to y'all soon!
