Football Withdrawals..

Hello and Happy Fashion Friday, except on Saturday :/ Whoops! I am sorry I forgot to publish this yesterday but I was so busy, it slipped my mind. I do however feel that this outfit is very relevant to how I am feeling today because as I woke up I was experiencing some major football withdrawals. I always looked forward to Saturdays where I sat down and did nothing but watch sports with my daddy. We love our Alabama Football! Only 6 more months :( Anyways, what are you all up to today? Do you have any plans for the weekend?

Pizza, Puppies, and Puns! - Life Lately

Happy hump day loves. Here is a little life lately in my house hold!

My dad took my sister a couple nights ago to a Luke Bryan concert at the Orlando Amway Center for a daddy-daughter date. As I am sitting here listening to the country music station I have to admit I am still a little jealous :) but she had a load of fun and he was apparently very good in concert.

(We are going to get married!)

#Photobomb

While my daddy and sister were out doing that for the night, I went out on a fun little outing with my sweet momma! We ate at California Pizza Kitchen. For those of you who don't know, they have a great menu of gluten free pizzas.

After dinner we decided to head into a pet store where there a lot of bunnies and doggies. I don't know why we do this to ourselves. We always leave there depressed and wanting to adopt all the poor little dogs! We decided to get out one puppy that was a dachshund-poodle mix and play with her. She was SO tiny!

I was convinced that we needed her! She was so cute a playful! I don't think this little diva would like having some one else taking up any of her attention though:

She is such a cute little wiener dog isn't she?? By the way, I am loving my new Jamicure. I have a full review up (here) for Jamberry Nails but these classic wraps are so pretty in my opinion. Website here.

After my little date with my momma we sat in our PJ's at home and watched Fixer Upper which is a show on HGTV. We think the couple that does these houses are adorable and SO talented. I enjoyed my night just laughing my head off and relaxing. I am sure my sister can say the same thing.

Love these two love birds! I appreciate the time they spend with us as a family but also individually :)

That has been life lately here in my home.

Whatever Wednesday

Events of the Bible: Creation- Weekly Devotion

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I am sure we are all very happy about the start of this week right? I am actually quite excited about todays post and I hope it cheers you up a bit. As promised from last week, we are starting something new this week. You and I are going to be working our way through the events of the bible together. These posts are going to be short, sweet, and informative. There are so many events of this incredible book that nobody learns. This will also help us to learn the events in order. I hope you will continue to stick with me through this journey and I hope you will open up and discuss in the comments or email me any questions. Today we start with one I am sure we are all familiar with, Creation!

Weekly Devotion

This weeks reading: Genesis Chapters 1-2

God has always existed. In the beginning, God created he world and all that is in it in six days, and on the seventh day God rested.

Day 1: Day and Night
Day 2: Heaven and Earth
Day 3: Seas and Land
Day 4: Sun, Moon, Stars
Day 5: Creatures of the sky and sea
Day 6: Creatures of the dry land and man
Day 7: God Rested

I did a full post about scientific evidence that God exists and that he is creator here. Next week we will discus the reading and introduce the next topic.

Don't forget to read those chapters this week and let me know what you think. Again, if you have any thoughts or questions about anything, comment below or email me.

Hope you enjoyed! See you on Wednesday :)

Denim and Light Pink!

Hello lovelies, and happy Fashion Friday!

Fashion Friday

I hope you are all doing great and excited for a great weekend! I won't be having a Sweet Saturday tomorrow because my stomach hasn't been feeling too well lately but I will have some more beauty and lifestyle posts up soon within the next couple of weeks. It is starting to get REALLY cold here in Florida, with the weather at around 30 degrees! I know for many of you, that isn't very cold at the moment but here where I live it is kind of a big deal :) What are your plans for this weekend?

I love this outfit because it is more of a classy, dressier, casual look for everyday! The light pink sweater is from Kohl's and the khaki pants are from GAP. The denim vest and necklace I am not too sure about because they are so old. I love denim and khaki mixed together though.

Enjoy your weekend, and stay warm! Comment below or email me with any thoughts or questions!

Gluten Free Chicken and Waffles-Italian Style!!

Hi everyone. Happy hump day and Whatever Wednesday!

Whatever Wednesday

I understand that I have been posting a lot of recipes lately for my Whatever Wednesday posts, but I promise I will have some more beauty posts up soon! I hope you all enjoyed the delicious cupcake recipe from Sweet Saturday last week. I am sad they are over. Todays dinner recipe however was such a good pairing of flavors. Chicken and waffles is a pairing I already adore, but cooking them like this made them even better! Would you all like some more ways to prepare chicken and waffles?

This recipe can be prepared a variety of ways. I have to make the waffles gluten free but you don't have to if this isn't an allergy for you. You can either make your own homemade waffle mix (with a bit of parmesan cheese in there) to cook in your waffle maker machine, or you can buy microwaveable waffles. This choice depends on your time and abilities. The rest of the recipe is super quick and easy. Let me know if you give it a try. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
-Microwaveable or Homemade Waffles
-Rotisserie Chicken, pulled off the bone
-Marinara Sauce of your choosing
-Parmesan Cheese

Directions:
Heat or prepare your waffles as directed.
While your waffles are being prepared, heat marinara sauce in a sauce man on medium heat. You want it to be pretty hot.
Once you have pulled the chicken, heat all of it in a bowl in the microwave for a minute or two.
To assemble, place your waffle on a plate and then place a good amount of chicken on top. Then pour your sauce on top. My family likes a lot of sauce but you don't have to drizzle too much, if you don't want to. Top with some parmesan cheese and then you are done!

This is a super quick, and tasty meal for you busy folks out there! Comment or email me with any thoughts or questions. Talk to you on Friday.

The Importance of a Daily Devotion

Hi everyone and Happy Monday! I have something new that I will be announcing next Monday but before we kick start a new journey together, I thought I would share the importance of having a devotion/ quiet time with the Lord daily. Next week, I will be announcing a plan/challenge that we can all do together. Something that will beat us all down is the questions we will ask our selves. Questions like "Is this really important?" or "I am already a good person, do I really have to spend my time doing this every day?"

These are all questions that cross our mind and questions that could distract us from seeing the importance of our daily time with God. One thing that you need to know first is there is no such thing as a spiritual plateau. You can't use the excuse "I have just plateaued and my spiritual growth hasn't changed much recently," because there is no such thing. You are either growing closer with the Lord or further from him. If you are not feeling closer to him daily, you are drifting further from him. It is as simple as that.

Weekly Devotions

When can I have my daily devotion?
Any time! I find that having it in the morning works best for me because even if I say I will have it at night, I will often be "too tired" or "too busy". Having it when you first wake up, before you start your day will not only give you the perfect time slot but give you an ease and peace about starting your day.

What do I do?
It is recommended that you spend about a minute praying before you do anything so you can ask God to help you understand what you are about to learn. Then spend about five minutes reading the Bible or a Bible study book (A plan you can follow will be posted next week). Then spend another minute to three minutes in prayer talking to God like you do your best friend. Poor out everything including your happy thoughts, worries, concerns, anything; God is a really good listener!

Tip!
Speaking of listening, don't forget to keep your ears open too. God can have super clear ways of speaking to us but we are often so busy worrying about ourselves or running our mouths that we forget to listen through out the day. After you finish your devotion, take a minute to listen to God and pray that he will help you listen to him through the entire day.

Good Luck!
I will be praying for all of you and that you might find that you kind of like talking to God and spending just a few minutes with him in the morning! Around eight minutes isn't too long right? Keep you eyes peeled for an introduction to the devotion plan I will be starting with you all next week. I am so excited to start this journey with you!

If you have any thoughts or questions, comment below or email me! I would love to chat with all of you!

Gluten Free Mocha-Caramel Cappuccino Cupcakes- Sweet Saturday!

Hello everyone, and happy Sweet Saturday!

Sweet Saturday

I know this is rather late for a Sweet Saturday post to be going up but my parents were out during the day having a little Valentines day lunch and I wanted to make them once they got back so we could all enjoy dinner and a little sweet together!

I know I call just about every recipe delicious but to emphasize the goodness of these cupcakes I will tell you that my entire family said that these might possibly be the best cupcakes I have ever made! These have a coffee flavor that isn't too strong but it is evident enough to give nice flavor. The frosting tastes like a Starbucks Frappuccino in my opinion. The cake and frosting are both super fluffy and those of you who are gluten-free, just won't believe your taste buds. These little guys are flat-out incredible. Give these a try when you get the chance!

P.S- These were the quickest cupcakes I have ever made too, so bonus points for that!

Ingredients:
- Chocolate Cupcakes (I use the Gluten-Free mix from the Fresh Market because I think it tastes delicious for being so quick but feel free to make your own as well.)
-4 3/4 teaspoons instant espresso granules
-1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
-2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- Chocolate chips for topping
-Caramel topping

Directions:
Prepare oven and cupcakes as your mix describes except add 4 teaspoons of the espresso granules in with the mix.
Divide batter among lined cupcake tins and cook cupcakes according to your directions.
In a bowl with an electric mixer, beat whipping cream, powdered sugar, and remaining 3/4 teaspoons of espresso granules on high speed until peaks form. You will have to beat it for several minutes so be patient.
To serve, place each cupcake on a plate or in a coffee mug if desired and top with your frosting. Then drizzle caramel on top and garnish with chocolate chips as you wish.
Prepare for your guests along with yourself to be blown away!

I hope you enjoyed this recipe and give it a shot. Happy Valentines day as well. As always don't forget to comment or email me with any thoughts or questions! Talk to you soon!

Denim and Blush Colors

Hi everyone and happy Fashion Friday!

http://www.julianagraceblogspace.blogspot.com/search/label/fashion

Today I have mixed some denim with brown which everyone loves, but added some blush tones in there with the blouse as well! I love these shoes, and I don't think I have shown them on here before. They are kind of western style so I adore them when they are paired with my big brown belt. All the clothes in this post are old and I have no idea where they are all from but the monogram clutch you can purchase on Etsy (here) in many different colors.

My sister was pretty proud of her outfit and wanted to be pictured as well :) Isn't she beautiful?

Tonight I am on dinner duty and have a really great meal planned that you will see sometime soon. Tomorrow there will be one (or maybe two) Sweet Saturday posts so be prepared for some sweetness overload with the super rich and yummy desserts that will satisfy your taste buds! What are your plans for Valentines day? Leave them in the comments along with any other thoughts or questions.

Talk to you tomorrow!

Egg and Meat Roll-up Breakfast Recipe

I fixed this deliciously easy recipe for breakfast one morning and my family and I LOVED it! Super tasty and quick for you individuals as well.

Ingredients:
-A few eggs depending on how many people you are feeding. About 1 or 2 per person.
-Salt and Pepper
-Prosciutto Meat

Directions:
Crack two eggs or enough to cover the bottom of your pan. Once the bottom has turned a little brown, use your spatula to flip it upside down. Make sure the egg has cooked enough or else it might split/break when you flip it. We don't want that to happen!
After both sides have been cooked, put the flat, cooked egg on a plate. Roll up your prosciutto meat inside the egg and secure with a toothpick.

You are then done, and ready to chow down on a delicious, filling breakfast! Hope you all are having a great week. Comment or email me with any thoughts or questions. I will see y'all on Friday for some fashion!
