The Liebster Award :)

Hi everybody! First off I would like to thank Carolanne Davies for nominating me for the Liebster Award on twitter! I was so shocked and will be more than happy to accept and nominate a few others for the award as well. The Liebster Award is spread through bloggers so you can get to know us better and discover new blogs!

The Rules:
-Answer the questions that are sent to you
-Nominate up to 10 other bloggers
-Ask them 12 of your own questions
-Let them know they have been nominated

Carolanne's Questions:
1. Would you ever consider becoming a vlogger and why?
I love watching youtube videos almost as much as I love blogs but I cant ever see myself doing it personally. I like writing more than film production and such.
2. What's your go-to outfit?
My go-to outfit is probably some colored shorts, a white top, and jewelry. During the summer and (since I live in Florida) even into fall, I can throw that on real fast and still look put together.
3. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy blogging, reading, or sitting around chatting with my family. My family is hilarious so sitting around with them is often times the most fun to me.
4. Something you really want to buy but cant afford/ get a hold of?
I really need to start saving for a car but even though I am a pretty wise shopper, I am not too good about saving money. You might see me biking everywhere until I am 30 :)
5. Your favorite blog at the moment?
These aren't necessarily at the moment because I have loved a lot of them for years but, Caitlin Covington, Emily Gemma, Jade Scott, and Mckenna Bleu.
6. What's your dream job?
To be an Elementary school teacher and a blogger even as an adult. I really want to grow and be a good mother like my momma too!
7. Favorite junk food?
FRENCH FRIES!!
8. Tea or Coffee?
Definitely coffee. I have tried to get into tea and just cant stand it. I do like coffee though every morning and maybe at night if I am reading a good book or something. (Unless we are talking about sweet tea, then I choose that over EVERYTHING!)
9. One product you couldn't live without?
Lip gloss. I couldn't live without any type of lip gloss!
10. You're on a desert island and you can only take three of your possessions, what do you bring?
I would bring my Bible, my phone (to hopefully call for help), and Sweet Tea :)
11. Describe your style?
I would say I have a preppy and girly style. I wouldn't say I'm minimalist because I love lots of jewelry!
12. What do you enjoy most about blogging?
Seeing my audience grow and all the responses in comments and emails especially to some of the devotions I put up. Nothing makes me feel better!

Who I Tag:

My Questions for y'all:
1. What is your favorite pair of shoes?
2. If you were at a mall with every store, which one would you go in first?
3. If you could meet three famous people who would it be?
4. If you could pick one thing to do for the rest of your life, what would it be?
5. Why did you start blogging, and why do you continue to do it?
6. What are your favorite blogs?
7. If you could travel to anybody in the world where would it be?
8. What is your favorite makeup brand?

The Right Priorities - Weekly Devotion

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. For this weeks devotions I will be going over priorities. This is a topic that is often times hard for me to grasp because with homework, social life, longing for sleep, and of course blogging, it is hard for me to find time for God. It is embarrassing, but it is true.

Think about your daily schedule. What do you spend most of your time doing? Are all the things in your daily schedule bad? Probably not. But sometimes, something that might be neutral, or even pretty good, can become bad when it becomes your main priority over God. Today we are going to look at two sisters that had Jesus visit their home and each of them handled things differently.

Luke 10: 38-42
38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Every time I listen to this story, I can't help but feel a little sorry for Martha who was trying to make everything perfect for Jesus as he came to their home. How are we often times, similar to Martha? Sometimes we may make less important things a priority over spending time with God. Even if it isn't something bad, it can become something you spend more time with than God. If you are like me, you have to squeeze 30 minutes of exercise into every day. It is a great stress reliever and it makes me feel good. I cant however, remember the last time I spent 30 minutes with God all alone. There is nothing wrong with working out, God wants us to take care of the body he has given us, but when I rush through my daily devotion to exercise, it becomes a problem.

Why do you think Martha did not understand Mary's choice? She lost perspective and became overwhelmed with small details. In the end, Jesus says that only one thing is needed and that would be him. He is all we need.

All in all, if you love Jesus wouldn't you talk to him, spend time with him, and talk to others about him? If your parents never talked to you, never spent time with you, and never talked to their friends and family about you, would you believe that they really love you? I challenge you all to try and spend time with Jesus daily this week and see how it changes your daily life. Make him a priority over everything else, and I will join you in this challenge.

Game Day Ready- Alabama Crimson Tide

Outfit Details: Shirt: Wetseal, Red Pants: Wetseal, Denim Jeans: American Eagle, Shoes: Black Sparkly Sperrys from Shoe Carnival

Hi everybody! If you have been a follower of my blog for a little while you probably already know that my family is huge Alabama fans and what is Bama better at than football right? I am a huge football junkie and love going to football games of any sort. If you are like me, when it comes to sporting events, you typically wear a t-shirt with the team name on it, and blue jeans. There is nothing wrong with this, however I wanted to show an alternative to the usual and give you some inspiration for football season outfits. Now obviously, this outfit is tailored to Alabama colors and patterns but it may give you some ideas for a possible outfit. For example, colored jeans are a perfect way to spice up some school colors. I paired my red jeans with a hound's-tooth blouse because we all know, thanks to Bear Bryant, hound's-tooth represents Bama football now!

What football team do you go for? Do you have any sports outfit posts? If you have any questions or comments leave them below or email me!

Similar Green Jacket here, here, here // Similar Blouse here // Khaki Pants here // Similar Necklace here .

Hi everyone! I hope you all are doing great! I have a three-day weekend once again for the end of the quarter so I am super happy! A couple of days ago it was actually somewhat chilly out here in Florida which rarely happens so I was super excited to pick out a fall outfit to wear that day! Weather that is nice is quite an anomaly in this state so my sister and I had to take a lot of pictures and enjoy the moment! I love the color combo of the army green jacket with the beige color blouse and brown accents through out the necklace and shoes! I paired all of it with some khakis because they can give any style a classy look! I put links to wear most of the things are from if you are interested!

I hope you enjoyed! Feel free to comment anything or email me as well! Talk to you soon!

Middle School Makeup/ Makeup for Beginners!

Hi everybody! I hope you are all just dandy today! I am SO sorry I haven't posted in over a week! This week was exam week at my school so I had a lot of studying and projects that had to be done and didn't want to just throw up any bad posts! I am bringing you a post today featuring my sister Meredith who is my bestie! I thought it would be appropriate to have her in this post because this is going to be all about middle school makeup or makeup for beginners who want a simple routine to get them started. Warning, she uses all Clinique as did I when I was in middle school, but if you prefer something else, you can refer to just the type of makeup she is using. Anything similar will work as well! Let me walk you through all she does, and what she uses.

Foundation:
A good light weight foundation is ideal for beginners. When you are in middle school and have to rush out the door in the morning for school you don't want to deal with so much makeup so minimal is best. We all however, get those lovely blemishes every now and then, especially in our teen years and considering that is one battle you just cant seem to win, a foundation that will cover up certain spots all day long is necessary. My sister uses the Clinique Superbalanced Makeup and loves it. I have talked more about this foundation here as I still to this day love that foundation and where it so often!

Powder:
Meredith just sets her face with the Clinique Transparent Powder which is so great for light coverage because it sets the foundation and helps it last longer, without adding any color or extra coverage to the face. Transparent or Translucent powder is totally necessary for young girls! My sister likes to use the Clinique Powder Brush for this one but any brush will work.

Eyes:
Meredith uses a duo that I used when I was in middle school called the Clinique Strawberry Fudge Eye Duo which is super natural looking but gives your eyes a little sheen which every girly girl wants! She applies the pink shade to her lid and the brown shade in the crease.

Mascara:
Well my sister has freaky long eye lashes so she barely has to touch her lashes with mascara to make them look long and beautiful but the one she uses and loves is the Clinique High Impact Mascara which does wonders!

Lip Stick:
When you are in middle school you probably don't want to wear anything to bold so a lip balm or light lipstick is probably good. My sister uses a light pink shade to moisturize her lips and that is all!

 Finished look:

Taaddaa! This is the finished look! This look is super natural and pretty for young girls who want to start wearing makeup or get a routine going. I hope some of the tips were helpful and you enjoyed!

Feel free to comment any more suggestions or email me with anything also!
